The Buddy System has been an integral part of OrCom Week, as this ensures that every participant feels welcomed and supported throughout the event. The program was made to allow a sense of community and to instill camaraderie among members of the organization, as part of the tenets of OrComSoc. In said spirit of camaraderie and collaboration, each participant had been paired accordingly on October 2nd, 2023 at the Multipurpose Room 1 at SSWC, serving the pair as each other’s go-to companion for the day’s activities. These buddies serve as a source of guidance, a listening ear, and a friendly face, making the entire OrCom week experience more enjoyable and meaningful.

The Buddy System also promotes collaboration and inclusivity. Buddies collaborate to traverse the activities like the OrCom Bingo event, becoming a dynamic duo that contributes to the week’s overall success. This collaborative approach not only improves the learning experience, but also ensures that no participant feels isolated or overwhelmed. The ties formed during OrCom week frequently stretch far beyond the event itself, resulting in long-lasting friendships and a sense of belonging to the OrCom community.
