Written by Albert Matayom

The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically changed the lives of Filipinos. As the students, faculty, and staff deal with the challenges of the new normal, the feeling of uncertainty is inevitable due to the daily increase of COVID-19 cases in the country. Fortunately, the UP Manila National Institutes of Health has developed an application to assist them amid the global health crisis.

BESTS or Bayanihan na Employees Symptoms Tracking System is an internet application designed to monitor and track symptoms. The application contains a series of questions that will assess the health status of students and employees. The application can be accessed through https://bests.upm.edu.ph/, and the instructions for using the BESTS app are available at https://tinyurl.com/upmbestsuserguide. For inquiries, contact bests.upm.edu.ph or @UPManilaOnline on Twitter for more details.

Students and employees can also contact the Bayanihan na! Operations Center hotline at 155-200 if they record various signs and symptoms of the disease listed within the BESTS app. They can also request further assistance through the hotline.
