TWO WOMEN with impressive backgrounds shared their own experiences on smart money management in a webinar organized by the ORCOMSOC Finance committee last February 5, 2021. Titled “Save Up: Figuring Your Finances,” the webinar featured Ms. Abigail Cruz on Financial Wellness During a Pandemic and Dr. Pinky De Leon-Intal on Money Concepts Every Student Must Know.

Cruz, a real estate planner, provided the audience some tips on how to save even during the pandemic. On the other hand, De Leon-Intal, a doctor who specializes in financial health, outlined some helpful tricks in saving up for graduation and eventually the future. Both speakers emphasized the importance of budgeting not only money but also your future in general–by always allocating resources for yourself. “Money cannot buy happiness, but people can make themselves happy with things that they love wisely,” an attendee recounted.

The talk was attended by tens of Finance staffers and other Orcom students as part of the ongoing workshop series organized by the Organizational Communication Society.
