into the great everywhere
Written by Jedi Alexis A. Cadeliña
Beginnings
scare me–
make the butterflies go crazy;
Beginnings
wear me
out
like a rainy day commute on a Friday eve.
But what is life without a lil
Thrill?
And what is living
without
Losing and winning
Stopping and spinning
Crying and grinning
Ending and beginning?
For every sunrise, a sunset–
For every first gig, a last set–
So before we run out of time
Maybe we should put it all on the line
Grab the opportunity, regardless if it’s smart
And step out there and make our journeys start.
Some say courage is the absence of fear
And for others acting in spite of it–
But, fear or none,
Action has to be done
So let’s go out there
Into “the great everywhere”
And face our beginnings
In this life–let’s find our meanings.
