FOUR SPEAKERS shared their experiences in the media industry in a webinar organized by the Documentation and OrCom Blog committee last February 13. Titled “2021: Make It Write,” the talk featured documentary creator Arles delos Santos for News Writing, presscon coach John Zamora for Feature Writing, writer-editor Joel Salud for Literary Writing, and artist Mar Rosales for Photography.

De Los Santos introduced the basics of news reporting while Zamora shared tips and tricks in feature writing. On the other hand, Salud shared his past experiences as editor of the Philippine Graphic magazine, emphasizing that writing is a process and skills development is continuing, even as he became an editor. Lastly, photographer Mar Rosales also shared shoot basics and some secrets in his own process.

The talk was attended by tens of DocuBlog staffers and other Orcom students as part of the ongoing workshop series organized by the Organizational Communication Society.
