Change Starts With You!

“Be the change you want to see in the world.”
This famous saying certainly holds a special place in my heart because of its impact. This has kept me inspired amidst the struggles and painful events that have occurred in my life. With this in mind, I am able to move forward in search of my purpose in life.
Ever since I was a child, I have been contemplating the true meaning of life. Numerous thoughts and questions have entered my seemingly curious mind. Eventually, and finally, one realization emerged. I realized that change is a significant part of life and is indeed inevitable.
Change—a word so simple yet so complicated. It can appear in different forms, varying from one individual to another.
We all seek change in various aspects of our lives. May it be in the current situation of our country, in the relationships that we have with our loved ones, or in our well-being. More importantly, an individual needs to have a sense of awareness so that one may be able to critically assess the things and situations that need adjustment or further improvement. Change does not happen overnight. It requires an immense amount of patience and perseverance.
The famous saying I previously mentioned conveys the message that change starts with you. As cliché as it might sound, it is actually true. Positive change starts with every one of us. Hence, it is our right to voice our opinions and act in the pursuit of progress and development. Moreover, having the initiative to positively impact the lives of others and oneself is one of the foundations of a better society.
However, it is also our responsibility to ensure that our behavior does not damage the rights of others. With change comes greater responsibility. Thus, we are also accountable for the outcome of our actions.
Be brave, and do not let your fears get in the way of the positive difference that you can bring in this cruel world. Society is often the culprit for placing a heavy burden on us. Do not succumb to the pressure caused by social norms. Stand up and remain firm on what you think is right and just. For you might not know that you are a symbol of hope and strength to those who are isolated, mistreated, and oppressed.
Change starts with you.
