Five Everyday Items Relatable to an OrCom Major
Written by Mac Montoya
1. Foundation

Just like any woman’s kikay kit, it wouldn’t be complete without their most trusted foundation. Your typical foundation is used to create an even complexion; but as for being an OrCom major, instilling in us by our professors are the lessons we need to ready us for tomorrow and for all the days after that.
2. Pillow

Though we don’t use too much of our pillows, we sure do know how to comfort each other the same way it can. We have our family, our friends and both of those in our fellow OrCom peeps! Take time to thank the “pillows” of our lives! (Shoutout to my beloved sophomores! Y’all THE BEST.)
3. Laptop

Who’s an OrCom major without their laptop? We write, we edit, we binge watch Game of Thrones (how specific, Mac) and a lot more using our beloved laptops.
4. Microphone

I don’t think any one is born a fantastic speaker, but through OrCom, I’m sure we’re being mold to be one. Loud, proud and confident—just what an OrCommunicologist is!
5. Beer

Wait. I can explain. Beer, as we all know, is multifunctional. Pumasa ka sa exam? Inom! Bumagsak ka sa exam? Inom pa rin! Masaya, malungkot, brokenhearted, in a relationship? Let’s celebrate it! After all, behind our eyebags-na-tinubuan-ng-mukha face, we all have those little moments we deem worthy for celebration. 🙂
Gaya nga ng sinabi ng kaibigan kong si Anina Miguel (@aninamigueeel on twitter, @miguelanina on IG):
“Hindi BEER-o ang maging OrCom major” – Miguel, 2017.
