Calli
Written by Marielle Iarathelle A. Trinidad
Fiddling with my pens, papers, and words
Heart filled with unending thoughts
The impossible, the irrational, different worlds
While trying to untangle the complex bound knot
The cruel reality made me run out of places
Yet even my mind is one scary place too
But every time the ink fills up the pages
It feels like there’s nothing I can’t do
Sanctuary of the dumb and the smart
The fortress of the distressed ever since
Home, that’s what you are, more than an art
The answer to every why’s of my existence
Every stroke and curve, every single line
Encompassed my fantasies and reality
All letters and words would lead to mine
To my only dream and maybe even yours,
Thank you for being the love I’d never lose
You’ll always be our heaven, our dear calli
