Today, You, Me
Written by Audrey Almanon
Today is nothing special
But it has been a year
In shambles, in misery
It has been a year
Though it does not seem like so
Putting on a cap, hiding the eyes
Obscuring sense, keeping life
Some wounds cut so deep
No matter how small they seem
Yet all wounds need healing
And when there is healing
Scars will be all there is
And every scar will be a reminder of something worth remembering
And that a broken heart needs healing, mending
Just for a chance to be happy again
I have found the good in goodbye
— – you
