How Does it Feel?
Written by Gabriel Dan Lagmay
Buti pa ang kalendaryo, may date.
Buti pa ang Science, may lab.
Buti pa ang ang farm, may chicks.
Buti pa ang hininga, hinahabol.
Buti pa ang SAIS, mahal.
and many more!
These days, relationships, flings, and “no labels” come and go so easily. You can find them practically everywhere! Which is why this poem, submitted by a good friend of mine, goes to those who are on the other side of this “relationships are everywhere” phenomenon—those who aren’t in relationships at the moment.
You are the spectators; patient, cunning and, in some cases, bitter. We have all had our share of staying in that zone of the so called “abangers“—those who wait for Mr./ Ms. Right while subconsciously staring in envy at those who have been lucky enough to have found their own romantic stories (or so they think.)
So without further ado, How Does it Feel.
How does it feel?
Dancing by the sea heel to heel;
How does it feel?
To find a girl and get your love sealed;
To love a girl and forever be healed.
How do you kiss her lips?
How do you dance and posses her hips?
To hold her hand and see how it fits,
To wipe of the tears on her cheeks.
How do you tell her you love her?
And if you did, what will you do after?
Too many questions asking to be answered;
Too many imaginations fed up with being bantered.
Kept these dreams to myself long ago.
How do they feel?
I guess I’ll never know…
“I guess I’ll never know…”
You guess you’ll never know? Well the truth is, you really never know. (boom, what?)
No matter what happens, let’s just heed Dory’s advice: just keep swimming… until you find your fish in the sea.
