On September 24, 2016, @negansvoid released a tweet that went viral almost immediately.

The tweet (displayed above) featured a photo of Kendall and Kylie Jenner—two of the youngest members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan. The photo was captioned “name a more iconic duo.. I’ll wait.”

Netizens from all over the world couldn’t let this slide, so decided to take @negansvoid’s tweet as a challenge. Soon enough, Twitter was filled with numerous reactions to the post.

And so began the epic Twitter battle of iconic duos.

People started tweeting photos of duos who they believed were more iconic than Kendall and Kylie Jenner in response to @negansvoid’s challenge.

At some point, people even began to compare the Kendall & Kylie duo with iconic food pairs…

This explosion of responses to a single tweet was something no one could predict—as is the tendency with most trends these days. As the Kardashian-Jenner Clan is surrounded by controversies and shallowness, they are a staple subject for netizens all over the world. I mean, they’re a family famous for being famous, right?

In response to this, PopulOrCom has come up with its very own list of 12 iconic duos—chosen on the basis of the duo’s popularity, the strength of the duo’s association with each other, the relative length of the duo’s popularity, and the duo’s overall impact on pop culture.
